Oh.

So, a Receptor user will leave the patch management up to Receptor rather than to my plugs?

If it's common to leave preset management up to Recpetor... all I have to do is deliver .fxp rather than my own format? (That would be a big relief... in that case I'd say I'm pretty much there...)

Yes, that is correct Urs. Many other plugs that have patch browsers built in (Linplug's come to mind) don't work well on Receptor (the patch browsers that is) but since they use FXP's behind the scenes they can still be run on Receptor....you just have to use the Receptors patch mgmt system. And there are compelling reasons to always do this anyway with all plugs on Receptor.

Glad you are almost there! :-)

Yes, I had just hoped that, if I knew *exactly* how things communicate, technically, I could adapt my preset browser... or maybe I've just been thinking more complicated than the actual issue was...

Thanks to everyone! From now on all new releases/updates shall then be receptorized!

Just a bit of correction...
The XML file is called:
\Reports\Patch and Bank Assignments.xml
but I'm not sure if this is the actual database, or just a readable version for us humans.

It's probably best for your VST not to bother with looking in the Banks and Patches hierarchy. Here's an example:

\Banks and Patches\PSPaudioware\PSP MixSaturator\003-063-factory.bank\000-preamp1.fxp

The "003-063" part was assigned by Receptor, and your VST would have no control over that, meaning that the user would have to navigate to find the folder.

Still trying to get my head around why presets don't load while graphics do... it's a bit strange, and not having a Receptor around isn't too helpfull as well :?
Urs, any news yet?... are you still working on Receptorizing Zebra2? Zebra2 (even in demo mode) has now become my favorite plugin. Please hurry?

Well, actually, as soon as the MSEG bug is fixed I'll get out a new build and that will run on Receptor 8)

(but now I'm installing Vista and stuff on my new Mac Pro... sigh...)

This is very good news indeed! Your plugin is really exceptional and I can't wait to really use it on Receptor. Will there be a crossgrade license fee or will this be implemented via the unsupported technique?

What you mean here?

I've created a workaround for Triple Cheese. Zebra2 will work the same way. There's no extra license or anything needed...

Great! Can you please inform everybody when it is ready by making a post on this thread?

I'll give my best! However usually an update involves 2379 email replies and 369 forum topics so that it isn't so easy to follow & keep in touch with each and every thread/user. Nevertheless I'll try to rememeber. But It'll certainly be visible on the right side of kvr for quite a while, you can't miss it 8)

Urs, any update?

Sorry, no big news yet. Still fighting the MSEG bug. Had a couple of desasters when switching to Vista/DevStudio2005*.

Technically it only lacks to find a couple of files on receptor, which 3C doesn't need. Will add that soon.

*I'm actually very happy that I can work normally on Win again... after almost 3 weeks of installations & troubleshooting

Are you getting any closer? Zebra-2 is the best synth-plugin I have ever heard and am dying to get it running on Receptor! Zebra-2 blows Massive and everything else away. I need it! Please hurray, I am dying here!
