Cannot uninstall Memorymoon from Receptor

Hi,

I installed Memorymoon on my receptor, but it's patches were garbled, so I deleted the files, but forgot to press the power button 3 times. Now Memorymoon is still in my plug-in sources list, but it doesn't load if I click it and if I try to reinstall it, it fails. I have installed other plugins since then with no problems. I want to get Memorymoon back on Receptor, so I need a little help.

Thanks,

DylanSOB, search the forum. I forget the answer, but it has been posted. There is a document you must edit to remove the plug reference, I forget which exactly.

Hm, I dont know the word garbled. Does it mean that the patches were not sounding right? The memorymoon is confirmed to work well with Reseptor. Sorry I dont know anything about the installation process other than the "unsupported" method should be used.

Hi Gunnare,

I installed all the extra patches following Receptor's instructions and all the banks show up, but they're either mixed-up or blank and no patches load into Memorymoon. So that's why I uninstalled it and messed everything up. I'm not sure if it's my Receptor or not, because my Receptor has become very buggy and unstable.

I hope it can be fixed. One of the banks is a blank bank that you can use when you want to program patches from scratch.

To install and uninstall memorymoon is very easy: Just delete the memorymoon.dll and memorymoon.dat file + the memorymoon folder.

Hi Dylan,

A couple of things:

Thing 1.) I'm not sure what kind of files Memorymoon patches are in; however, if they are FXBs/FXPs - the proper way to install these is to drop them in the "drop installers here" folder - then go to the "system" tab, and hit the 'install' button. This will 'receptorize' the banks/patches such that they can be seen by Receptor's UI.

Thing 2.) Also, occaisionally Receptor might lose a bank of patches (they don't show in your Receptor's banks/patches list for that instrument. This can be a problem where the receptor's banks cache is out-of-sync. To get them back, have receptor re-scan the banks by 'Holding down the "Multi" button while restarting Receptor'.
