Dont know what the deal is. The plug was accidentally pulled out, and now it will no allow me to set it to "crossover". I spin it to crossover, and press yes to set it, but it will just set itself to "auto dhcp" it will also not allow me to set the windows networking to "on". Anyone know what is going on and what i can do to fix this??

TIA

I have a gig Friday out of town, so if someone can help me set this up quickly, I'd appreciate the help.

You need to reboot once you've changed network settings (double press power button). Be sure that the PC is set to auto DHCP and is booted at the same time.

Hope that helps.

How exactly do you set the PC to auto DHCP?

Be sure to write down any settings that are already in place before you change so you can go back to the previous config if needed.

You can also avoid DHCP and just set the Receptor and your PC to specific IP addresses, e.g. 192.168.0.10 and 192.168.0.20. Then you can use a crossover network cable to directly connect the two, or use a hub and two normal cables. Edit your HOSTS/LMHOSTS files in your PC's /windows/system32/drivers/etc folder to include these numbers, since those text files act as a kind of simple DNS. Let me know if you want to try this.
