Does Guru do pitch/time stretching? If so maybe I'll look at it again. I think Live will work for me now in that because I can warp the song I'm sampling, loop it, change the speed, and then slice it to my liking. I don't do a whole lot of sampling as it is. I just want to be able to adjust my tempo and pitch and then slice. Since I already have Live it will work for me. My main DAW is SONAR and I also Project 5 and Kinetic. So I'll just be using Live Lite as a warping/slicing drum machine.
Live 6 new is like $499. You can buy a used mpc1000 for that much maybe a little more. I'm saving up for one.

Chopping like in that youtube can be exhausting. The mpc does it automatically and spreads it across the pads...
yeah. Thats the truth. I just cant believe that nobody has thought about developing a virtual module doing the same things. Weird..

Energy XT's "Sampler" comp slices automatically a la Recycle and maps to keys.
and it's only 39€, including a free upgrade to version 2.

Very weird indeed. It's like noboby gets it. I don't understand. Did you figure out your issue with Guru?

I forgot about Beat Inc. from Ultimate Soundsound Bank. It was announced earlier this year but hasn't been released yet and if I recall correctly it does it all. Autoslicing, pitch/time stetching and all of the MPC stuff.

They had a page on their site about it with sound clips and all but I can't find it. I'll see what else I dig up on it.
I was really feeling it when I first saw it.

nikdagr wrote:PLEEEASE somebody tell me which VST plugin gives me the option to slice samples into EQUAL PARTS!!!! (1/8,1/16 etc.) I hate the "sensitive" & "autodetect beat.." features of recycle & co. I NEED EQUAL PARTS SLICING like Phatmatik for example, but this one hosts only one sample. I want to map several chopped samples over my midi-keys/pads on different octaves/patterns (like the MPC as I said..)

That would save me a lot of time (and many people), and "provide room" for more creativity and playing music instead of switching between wavelab, phatmatik, battery, ableton and back again.... to do THIS simple task the MPC does on the fly.
(No I cant't buy one right now, and I prefer to use software)
Anyone knows what I mean?

I have tried almost everything..
Yeah, energyXT1 can do that and way more. if you load the vst version in live, just create a new sampler and go crazy, hehe

Intakt can do all that. Load multiple samples, slice them where you want, and map the slices to different keys...this can be done with as many keys as you have available.

well, people did tell you that several apps can do what you are asking for and much more (eg FL Studio, Livesclice etc.) but instead of demoing those apps you make funnny claims like this.

I've tried them all before these people told me to, my friend - in detail. To quick for you though. Not funny actually.

Yes. It's a good concept, but there are some major things either have to be debugged or added. Like one-shot: can't be turned off, not even by using envelope settings.
No time-stretch, pitch for the sliced sample (but I can live with that for now)
Choking pads only possible for up to 4 (this will be changed in the upcoming version.)

It's main problem for me is turning off the oneshot option .
With that option available GURU would be the best solution till now..

Sorry about the link - didn't realize it was broke.
