Any new professional Zebra 2 preset banks in the works ?

----Just asking since I haven't seen any mention of any around. The Transmission set is cool, and zircon's sounded good too, but I'm kind of hoping for some more styles really, no offense to those great sound designers of course, (and I should add, to the several fine banks that the good Zebra owners have made for us, and given away free, I don't want to leave them out either, they deserve a round of applause for sure
). So uh yeah, anyone working on any different Zebra 2 soundsets these days that ya want to give us a preview of or anything ? And for what's it worth, I personally wouldn't be opposed to some smaller banks really. I rarely need 128+ presets in any one style, although if they have a good variety the no worries really. Just saying, 30-40 presets in a given style at a good price would get a sale from me.

I'm waiting for the MSEG bugfix and the free running LFO's to do another bank. Minor things, I know, but important to me.
But how do you define the sounds for a given style ?
Peter.

Nope, because the MSEG2 bug isn't fixed. The latest update hasn't been posted yet...wonshu wrote:The first 11 patches are in Howard's Bank:

----Well, I suppose to some degree that's a matter of opinion, but for anyone deep enough into a specific style, I'm sure they just pretty much know what falls into that category etc.pschelfh wrote:But how do you define the sounds for a given style ?
----A large well rounded and well organized bank is always good, I just wanted to sound off about smaller more genre specific banks maybe being good too. Zebra can do so many different styles, that maybe someone can't come up with 128 dum-n-bass sounds, but they have 48 solid ones, they should be encouraged to offer a budget soundset for sale. That's all I'm saying, let's keep promoting more variety, and if there are fewer presets in the bank, just lower the price accordingly, and we all win then.

Have you looked at some of the free banks that have been mentioned here? Check out http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=180090 for a long list of them.liars&ashes wrote:Zebra can do so many different styles, that maybe someone can't come up with 128 dum-n-bass sounds, but they have 48 solid ones, they should be encouraged to offer a budget soundset for sale.
If you're looking for D&B, check out psycox's chill/psy preset bank at http://www.solarsoundnetwork.org/archiv ... etpack.zip
or wonshu's nice virus preset banks.
Just because they're free doesn't mean they aren't any good. Some of these are really nice and the creators are very kind to give them away.
