FM8 On Receptor

Since you now have compatability w/ the N.I. registration center, How soon can we expect individual Receptorized installers for all the lastest N.I. stuff?

I'd love to have FM8 running but I dont have Komplete.

HI Gymnopedies

The universal installer technology that allows us to install Komplete will also allow us to install FM8. I don't have a ship date out of engineering yet, and if you really can't wait, you might want to place a phone call to customer service and see if there is something they can do to help you out.

Hi garygenn69
I've been very tempted to hassle NI for individual codes as I have also heard that some have been successful.
However, if that was the response you got, then I don't stand chance either. :scared:

man it sucks ya know cause really I love the sound of NI stuff and the would jsut take our recpt over the edge. look I would be willing to try asgain and get through if yo try too. javascript:emoticon(':x') I wonder if it would help if we both hassled them . Let me know. I am not one of those people that want to spend my days hassling companies and stuff but we could really use that and we should be able to I mean paid alot of money for those programs adn we won them j

Does that mean there's going to be an update eventually or a user installable that enables us to install K4 ourselves instead of shelling out money to let you do it? I live in the netherlands so shipping my unit is not really an option.

Thanks bekenone, thats great info. I'd really like to know Muse's official position on this though .. are Receptor users about to be entering a new phase where piracy/authorization methods become a revenue source? I bought a receptor because of it being build on red hat, which offers immense upgradability and flexibility for an educated user, but I'm starting to think a laptop would be a better option on stage, as I wouldn't be waiting for a company to either a) release something or b) decide to profit from it's current users while it pursues a business strategy of building a user base of plug n play users. I bought a receptor within a year, and have waited till now to get all NI stuff working, and it ends up I should have waited and bought a Receptor 'Komplete Inside' .. would have been MUCH cheaper as I bought a bunch of stuff via plugorama to tie me over until K4 was installable, and now, the wait continues.

I don't want to slag Muse, but I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of information to this board, given the power users that are here and have been supporting them fully for a LONG time. I'm feeling a bit 'tricked' by the language prior to the 1.6 release, and not feeling good about the future at the moment.

Muse, care to convince me that you'll be treating current customers right?

please?

where is it wher OH where. Ya know I am really disa ppointed too as are others. I read a post below this abou tusing a laptop and I will tell why I need to have this receptor taking the load off my computer. I am running my own video manipulation for my band and it is really helping and simplifying things to have some of my soft synths off of the computer especially the ones that migth use alot fo samples

I agree completely...It's the language used by Muse on this update that I find disturbing.

I feel as if I've been sold an automobile only to find that when I go to pick it up, they tell me "Oh, You wanted tires with it? Well, That'll be an extra $200.00"

Seriously, The entire premise behind the Receptor has been Complete compatability for all VST instruments & effects.
Thats how it was sold from the begining.
But all it's turning out to be is a big bait-n-switch scheme.

Sometimes it feels like K-v-R is a barrel, we're the fish & Muse is holdin' the shotgun.

bumped, Cause I need some good news from Muse.
