Ok Krakatau...I downloaded them...and extracted them...but unfortunately, for some reason, they all expand to become oddly named...for example, the file extnension actually becomes the name of the preset. hehe. And the sample included don't work on my machine...they don't even register as any known file type...just "File." Anyway, one wave file and one program managed to extract without issue....not sure why...but I loaded that one and here's my opinion:

Well, lol, it's a limited critique, due to the problems above, but from the 1 thing I heard, the actually sound was very interesting, and could be put to good use in any sampler with synthesizer capabilities...I do think it could use better loop points though....the looping sounded a bit odd to me.

Again though, that's just that one sound...I would need to hear the rest to make any real judgment, and I just couldn't get any of the files to extract properly. :)

That's strange, i don't where the issue could be, i create the .zip file by using the appropriate operation directly from my own OS ( Tiger ) and there's of course no problem for me to download and extract my own files

have to see again how to fix this... :( :bang:

It seems as if you have OSX set to not show file extensions. This is only working fine under OSX itself, but Windows requires file extensions to be present. Should be rather easy to fix in Finder. You can either do it per file type (rightclick file, chose properties and select "show suffix") or globally (Finder > Settings > "Show all suffixes"), the latter being what I prefer as I often transfer files between the two OS's.

Hm, just unzipped the files on my Macbook. Really weird, I can't make it to show the file extensions at all, but the icons are telling me they're the proper files.
Weird. I can't even make OSX to completely hide the extensions on my own files. They will always only hide as long as that's set in Finder. Once I transfer them to the PC, the file extensions are back there.

I seem to remember something about a setting dealing with file extensions, but I can't find anything right now. Maybe it's pre-IntelMac only?

Anyways (will try the patches later on), a few words regarding your file organisation: Most people have their EXS samples in another folder than the instrument patches (even the default factory patch organisation does it like that), but yours are in one folder. I would supply separate EXS instrument and EXS sample folders.
Also, there's some .s3p files. And even some .fxp files. And some .htm file (apparently created by CDxtract, which also seems to create the .s3p files).

As said, to keep things lean, I would supply samples and instrument files in separate folders.
And yeah, you gotta sort out that file extension issue...
