I would assume that if it's a self-extracting-archive, then it would also be possible to extract the dll etc via winzip, which is installed here.
Or does 7-zip have something winzip hasn't?

Unfortunately, I am having some problems:
The plugin does not recall any of it's settings at all in Energy XT 1 or 2. Not just the linked state but all settings. If I save the plugin within a project it reverts back to it's default start up settings when I reload.
