Not compatible with VST->RTAS adapter?

Hi,

This morning I bought Sylenth1 after playing with the demo, and the synth just plain rocks!

However, I have one problem with it. It doens't seem to be completely compatible with ProTools (LE) via FXpansion's adapter. It works alright, but when I close my project, protools or deactivate Sylenth1 Protools crashes, requiring a reboot to start again. Some kind of Virtual C++ error or something.

One other incompatibily: on two of the patches I use in my song (presets, can't remember the names right now) something strange happens when opening my project: the low-pass filters are changed to highpass filters. Happens everytime with the same patches

Are these Sylenth-related bugs or FXpansions bugs? Is there a possibility you can fix this?

...or maybe make a native RTAS version? That would be completely cool! 8) VST and RTAS are probably not that different...?

Thanks for a wonderful synth!
Jorg.

btw: running Protools LE 7.3.1, FXpansion VST-RTAS adapter 2.11 and Windows(XP/SP2)

Hi Jorg,

Thanks for reporting, I'll look into this. If anyone else has tried Sylenth1 with FXpansion please share your experiences.

An RTAS version might be useful indeed, I'll see if that can be arranged after the Mac version is done.

Hi

yes I've had the same in Pro Tools 7.3. Seems OK when you play/record the synth etc. but when saving project, PT crashes

Hey Lennard, Rod,

Thanks for your replies. Always good to know I'm not the only one :) With my system, Protools does not crash when saving the project, but only when closing it, or deactiving a Sylenth synth. So Sylenth is really fully usable for me in Protools! I just need to reboot after I used it ;)

The patches with the filter problem are: "PAD - Into the Night" and "BASS - Deep Base" from the Adam Baker soundbank. A little tweaked to my own need, ofcourse. But maybe this information is useful to you anyway. Also these are fully usable, I just have to change the filter type from HPF to LPF everytime I load my project.
