Quick question about the other amp plugins... Are the single-amp plugins all included in Freeamp2, or are they slightly different from those included in Freeamp2?

Haha, yeah, chimp is awesome. If i want really terrible-sounding distortion, it's my go-to plugin. Terrible as in 'fantastically bad'.

No! the small (single) amps were a bit different design then what I used in FreeAmp, I keep on trying

Damn, I still have to work out what it was you all like in Chimp? I keep going back to its layout and can not for the life of me figure out what was going on to make you happy? I never intended to make chimp as a guitar processor it was for Tripp lead (a synth) but have had many people say they liked the feel of chimp on there guitar?

Please don't give up the prospect of FA3

it is alive and well

I have learned much over the past year or so, and FA3 should end up to be huge. Right now I'm working on the amps, there should end up to be about 60 or more of them

The FX are done, then I really want to finish the synth section to be more useful.

tamoore - that is very encouraging to hear, I hope the tone worked well for you.

TBH I have played through commercial amp sim plugins (even new releases) that use as much if not more CPU then FA2

and NO I don't want to mention names, test for yourself.

But YES the new version should be (crosses fingers) much more easy on the CPU then FA2

check out some of my newer plugins (gates, SafFron's) they really run using a quite small amount of CPU for plugins made in a modular application

Have a new drum plugin coming soon that run as low on CPU, As many sample velocity splits as you want, two group setups for HiHat and other perc instrument that need grouping, multi outs and.... Hope you all like it?

Okay, it's getting scary now. Like you're reading my thoughts.

I'm pretty proud of the drum plugin, dont even know how I ended up starting it? but it is done and has a pretty UI from ArtVera

I just finished some example drum samples to ship with it, now it just needs a manual.
Hopefully I can make enough time this weekend to finish up and put on the site?

if you could make the pedalboard layout modular . Awesome . The dist algos are a little weak around the edges. no tube screamer ,death metal ,metal zone, boogie, fuzzface sounds . Lotsa warm tubey goodness tho . Enough punch truly , but it could be a little better . look at an mxr compressor . It makes your axe suuuuuuuuuuuuuuustain . I would like a little more of that in the onboard comp . Ps please make the synth open with synth sounds loaded , and a little easier around the controls . (I get it , but my band doesn't).

FreeAmp version 3 What do you want?
