Whoa ho! Just tried the new oversampled Reacomp, and I gotta say: very nice! This compressor just got better; I like how you've given a large choice of oversampling settings.deadbeef wrote:Just a note, we've updated reaplugs here:

Now includes oversampling AA modes for reacomp, big reafir quality fixes, and reastream (which allows you to stream audio and MIDI from machine to machine on your LAN).

And I always wondered what a 64x oversampled compressor sounded like...now I know.
Great job, Deadbeef.

Thanks Justin! As much as I love Reaper, sometimes I like to use the native plugs in other hosts so this is perfect.

Are you serious? Check it out now..bduffy wrote:This is giving me a really snappy sound on drums, even with a crazy settings, and I control dry/wet, sidechain filter...very nice.
Allz thats needed now is a VST port of Reamote (keeping fingers tightly crossed)..deadbeef wrote:Just a note, we've updated reaplugs here:

Reacomp is now my favorite compressor. I just used it in an old track of mine on a vocal track, and it really did sound a lot better/smoother than what I had been using. I've been keeping an eye on Reaper. I'm a Tracktion user now, but I see great things in Reaper! Keep up the great work.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Reacomp!
Yep...its my new go to compressor. Spent about an hour with it last night and I'm amazed at this thing. I spent most of that time going for that 1176ish type of sound (like the one knob compressor in Sampletank which is fantastic) and not only could I get it that sound but with the auto make-up, dryfeed, 64x oversampling mode (cpu muncher btw) and the brick wall limiter I've got smack, snap and chunck (sounds like new cereal) all at the sametime. Aside from using the 64x oversampling this is unbelievable lite on the cpu for the analog sound it puts out. Truly a vst marvel.
Thanks for these awesome free plugins!
