M-Tron installation fails

Hi,

I'm trying to install GMedia's M-Tron on my rev. C Receptor. I've registered with GMedia, downloaded the license onto my iLok, downloaded the M-Tron .mrpk from Plugorama, and put it in the Drop Installers Here folder. Shortly after clicking the Install button in the Remote Control's GUI, the installation fails (i.e. "Last installation results: 0 installed, 1 failed."). I re-downloaded the .mrpk and tried installing it again, but no love there, either.

I'm a brand new Receptor user, so I'm not quite sure what my troubleshooting options are here - any help would be appreciated!

Thanks -
JB

Clear cache (hold down multi button, triple-click power and hold multi button until it says "loading"). Setup page will say "scanning plugins" for a while (how long depends on how many you have installed). See if M-tron is there and functions. If it doesn't function see if M-Tron shows in your list under "uninstall plugins", then uninstall it, clear cache again, and try re-install.

If this fails, open a ticket on Plugorama. I had this problem once (before my RevC) and as I recall the only way I got out of it was my ssh'ing into the box as root and using RPM to uninstall some dependent packages...but hopefully this isn't your problem.

Also, make sure the mrpk you downloaded roughly matches the advertised size specified on the plugorama site.

FYI, on my recently re-cored RevC, the M-Tron (full) installer also said it failed, but the plug and all it's receptorized patches showed up fine after clearing cache. Go figure.

Hybernation - Your suggestion to clear the cache worked like a charm. Thanks a million for the tip, much appreciated!
