musicall wrote:yeah i have a patch that i made in imposcar that sounds kinda like a theremin...but that one in your mix has a really cool different character than mine...i'll post my patch ina bit. I would love to see how you made that patch!!! maybe i could work on getting it to not be random.

so that sound is called a "whalesound" ?

thats cool...heh.
K here it is, in its present state it can come out as a UFO passing Eiffel Tower or a Cat being dragged by the tail ;)

That was quick, Mike! I was also inspired by the idea, and have just finished one that actually sounds like a family of 4 whales... Unfortunately, the mother whale has been shot and is currently being dragged on board using 17 harpoons   (no kidding - I'll include it in my next version of my sound collection)

Now to check out Mike's new sound... :)

Well, I have pictures of Gitte Haening live /w Zebra - her keyboarder/producer is one of the first ever die-hard Zebra enthusiasts :-o

Hmm i think it would be more humane to just commit hara-kiri or seppuku :hihi:

And it even gets worse: did you already know that "Andrea Berg" is going RnB beatZ :-o
Just check out her latest tracks to believe - the pattern is RnB but just the sounds ( ) ...

So finally what do whe have to conclude from all those mysterious things going on here?
RnB is going "Deutscher Schlager"?
"Deutscher Schlager" captures Zebra2?
Is there any reason in live?
And why do I have no money on my account?

But I really appreciate your vision of seeing a german schlager star act on tv using zebra softsynth fiddling on a laptop or so ...

to be continued ...

Made a little exit patch for the night. Its a 1 finger thing or one nose if you prefer with a relaxing pattern.

Today ive been messing with drum stuff and are working on snares atm. Snares have been a pain in the butt for a long time and each time i discarded the outcome but not this time. This one hits a gated snare right on the spot and would be good for a starting position. Try give it a listen:

I didnt use anything to pump the snare other than the build in Comp in Zebra so this is what you hear is what you get, as usual ;)

Disclaimer, its been quite awhile since i last pounded on a roto-tom, so i dont claim its roto, ill let you guys decide what to call the toms.

Love that percussion stuff - it's not that often you hear convincing non-electro drums coming from a non-samploid synth, because, well, it's hard...

Very cool! 8)
