Zebra2 failing to load in recent projects

And we all love to use Zebra2 as much as we can but recently, I've discovered that a lot of tracks I which use the latest Zebra are failing to load any Zebra instances - I use Live6. It reports that 'Unknown VST Zebra2 required' or something similar. I'll recreate it when I can.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of behaviour?

In this case I can definately say, if something's wrong, it must be in Live. The latest Zebra hasn't changed in 6 months and this is the first report of its kind. Live seems to be updated quite often recently and still hasn't had all bugs fixed that I reported to Ableton last year.

The only thing that had changed in the environment was that my laptop wasn't plugged into my 828mk2, it was using the built in MME Soundmax drivers.

Sorry to hear about the increase in problems.. hope they don't set you back (creatively (drum machine) ) too far!

If you are on Mac, do you have VST and AU installed? [edit... MME... sorry...]

Can you instantiate a fresh Zebra2?

Other than that, I'd suspect corrupt song files, or some bug in Live 6.0.x (which version are you on? 6.0.7?) - Zebra has no code that secretly makes it fade away from the host environment.

The funny thing about horror reports is that they're mostly either harmless or related to host/system problems.

Indeed, I canNOT bring up a fresh instance. Infact, where I placed Albino3 to temporarily replace it, Zebra moved down the chain of plugins and tried to behave like an effect.. you haven't added a secret audio-in have you?

yup, 6.0.7. And when I returned and plugged it back into the studio, the song loaded as it should..

Absolutely host issues - maybe I should go back to Logic551; most stable VST host I ever had

And I'm still getting the 'Zebra won't play first note at position 1 of loop' bug in Live hit me day-after-day..
