Stereo Input split

Hello, is it possible to use the rear (balanced) inputs from a mono source? I'd like to use it for my trumpet from a dedicated pre/comp/eq, but if I plug it to just one input (L or R) it sounds hardly panned L or R...
Any clues?
thanks

Try my free plugin, GH-LRSelector, which allows you to select the left or right input and/or combine them into a mono signal. There's a readme file in the ZIP.

Hey Greg,
Can that be used on a Master Channel Outputs?
I'd love to have duplicate Banks of Mono & Stereo shows...
Occasionally, I perform at clubs or halls that either don't run in stereo, or can't afford 2 lines (L + R) from my rig.

JV, yes it works great on the Master Channel! In fact, I'm using it that way right now, since I'm running a mono PA.
The plugin is also useful for diagnostics, because you can listen independantly to the left side or right side, and it's better than panning, since the signal will come out both outputs/speakers. That makes a big difference for me when I'm listening through headphones. It's also good when you have a subwoofer that takes it's signal from the stereo signal. Panning tends to interfere with that.
But I originally made the plugin to multiply the number of analog inputs on the Receptor. With my plugin, you can treat the left and right analog inputs as if they were two separate mono inputs.

That's great! If there are any improvements you'd like me to add to the plugin, just let me know - but I'd like to keep it simple and uncluttered if possible. One thing I was considering was to allow you to define which MIDI CCs it responds to, rather than being hardcoded to MIDI CC#30 = Source, MIDI CC#31 = Mute, MIDI CC#07 = Volume.
