maybe this is obvious but after look at some videos and searching posts i can't figure it out.
if i load some NI VSTi's (e.g. fm8 or reaktor) into receptor within fruityloops for example, will i see the usual NI instrument interface? or is there a generic interface to control all the parameters?
same question applies for 3rd party vst fx.

Hi gooner,
First - Receptor is runnung exactly the same vsti plugin that you are currently running in fruityloops on a PC. The plugin executes the same code to produce the same interface that you see in fruity loops.
Second - when you work with Receptor, Receptor is hosting the plugins (and displaying the plugs interface), and the DAW is hosting Receptor. Thus, you don't see the plugin interface within Fruityloops any more. The situation is similar to if you were configured for controlling an external synthesizer from Fruityloops.
For example, you may choose to simply configure various channels in Fruityloops to send MIDI information (that Receptor is responding to), while also recording audio information (coming back from Receptor) via Audio channels in Fruityloops.
Another possible configuration might be to use Uniwire. Uniwire is a VST Plugin that you host in a DAW like Fruityloops, that allows you to stream out MIDI data to Receptor, and audio from Receptor back into Fruityloops -- all via ethernet. The interface that you see in Fruityloops for the Uniwire plug looks nostly like the "Mixer page" from the Receptor Host interface, and it allows you to configure Midi and Audio channel settings.
In both of these cases, your DAW is simply controlling Receptor, but no longer presents the plugin interface of those remotely run plugins. However, you can still get to those plugin interfaces remotely via one of two ways:
1.) using a separate monitor connected to Receptor
2.) opening a "remote desktop" window on the same PC that runs Fruitly loops.
