No more tarnce leads!
Aren't you supposedly suffering from some kind of severe hearing loss?

Post

Ok. Let's say I just can't stand the treble of the original. That's why I'm reluctant to turn up the ModWheel early...

http://www.u-he.com/music/Zirbrus3.mp3 (harder than the original, less hifi)
http://www.u-he.com/music/Zirbrus4.mp3 (adds deep bass)

Had to do this with headphones... otherwise Grrrl would've killed me...

my right ear is completely deaf, zero hearing.

i am trying experimental nerve reconnection soon.

anyway, this is why i sold everything as I can no longer mix professionally. But i have kept a very few choice plugs to write for "fun".

what has that got to do with anything anyway?
Sorry to hear about your condition and I'm really not trying to be a jerk here but how objectively can you evaluate sounds?

It's just a quick teaser for you non-believing Tarnce fans out there.
Hmmm. Starts a bit too softly, kicks in later. Enjoy :)
So now that we've collected a few opinions, may I suggest we all read the above again. Did I mention anywhere that I had made that little demo on Zebra2? Now guess what synth it really was... Har-har-har!!!
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
lol you know at the back of my mind I thought either you or someone would do a placebo on us. and I guess it worked. however I STILL standing by my earlier comments...:-)
and I have played both in person.....

Howard it still doesn't sound like a virus to me even though I think you are hinting that you tricked us and it was done with a virus?..

Howard in your free time.....lol..... maybe you can send us two files to listen to one done on the virus one on the zebra and see if we can guess which.. and obviously don't handicap the virus :-) I am listening to the virus's demos on their website, and there is one called spaces (the most bottom one) that the intial patch doesn't sound what I like about the virus's.....or on their home page the Tsunami Arp.......that doesn't do it for me either.
still good one. :-)

Howard: sorry but that's just not a virus.
jacobh: that sounds more like it, but I can't tell with the horrible quality of that mp3.

Does it sound any better as an OGG?

So I did a blind test with Grrrl.

She immediately identified the Virus (the original and Howard's, if it's indeed one). She also thinks that jacobh's demo is one.

Needless to say, she still prefers my deep version (Zirbrus4) over any other even though she only found Zirbrus3 was a Zebra...

And she knows what she's talking about... she's sung on several TD albums :P

Post

whatever this is. I like......very aggresive and cutting.....for genre's that require that it would work great. I actually much much prefer this to the Howard 'virus' file that he faked us with :-)

And guess which synth this one is?
http://www.mindtrick.com/music/PhatMath.mp3
(yes, it's all a synth)

Post

ok phatmath doesn't sound like a virus to me....that sounds more like the zebra to me if it those are the only two choices....I didn't like it at all...
rsp

edit: turns out it wasnt' either after all. The above is meant to say that I do prefer the virus sound a lot more than zebra2 and so if I don't like how it sounds, I would more attribute it to the Z2 than the Virus. Sorry :(
