Guitar Rig 2 foot conroller compatibility

Hey everyone! I'm in the final process of getting a purchase ready for the receptor pro and guitar rig 2. I found some documentation stating that the foot controller is not compatibile with the receptor, and I'd like to get verification from someone that is using these 2 pieces together.

If the controller is not compatible, can anyone recommend a controller that would be a good choice? (Keep in mind that I'm a keyboard player by trade, so my knowledge of what I should and shouldn't be looking for may be completely incorrect.)
