hmmm... i was thinking something that utilized an ultra-thin dual diaphram with huge caps, incredibly well-damped body, tranformerless circuitry, perfect rf shielding, internal shockmounting, continuously variable polar pattern dials, -10 db pad, with all the electronics to tolerances of .5%...

Some of the old classics tend to fetch somewhat ridiculous prices, this U47 for example has a starting bid of $9999...
Doesn't beat that Brauner but then that one's a stereo mic.
