I have no idea what VNV Nation is, but Manuel Schleiss is a "big" sound designer in the Trance community who produces patch banks for many hardware and software synthesizers. That is a demo of one of his banks.

I read some interviews and they (VNV Nation) use Virus (TC Powercore & hardware) and Reaktor... maybe they were using some of his sound banks. But they don't seem like the preset type that's why I'm confused.

I've tried Helix yesterday and it's a pretty cool thing you're up to!JonasNorberg wrote:I have one cycle per harmonic, linear interpolation, no oversampling.Urs wrote:Had a quick look on the code... it seems to use wave cycles that fit a number of samples. My attempts in that direction were pretty frustrating.
Pros: Great performance, great signal to noise at high frequencies.
Cons: can be memory hungry. Limited number of harmonics (can be "dull" at low frequencies).
My approach is a bit different, I'm only interested in a virtual-analogue style SuperSaw much like the one in the Virus TI, hence I try to just use naive phase accumulators...

Damn, that Twin sounds juicy !spaceman wrote:Just to point behind this for me what the arp is concerned.. my last changes to the Twin patch:
Ze Arp played by ze Twin.. es ist zoeper!
This is how I'd want the patch to sound, not as much an attempt to copy completely (hmm.. yes, that sounds good enough)
Does it come with built-in FX, like that phaser ? Or is that a filter ?

No internal FXs. It was just a short high pass filter sweep of one of it's filterspschelfh wrote:Damn, that Twin sounds juicy !spaceman wrote:Just to point behind this for me what the arp is concerned.. my last changes to the Twin patch:

I tried that too with FM7. You can hear it @ around 0:40hifiboom wrote:this sounds way better than the original virus preset.jivamukti wrote:Now that sounds sweet. Less of that "flatness" and much more "3D-dimensional".
Well done!!!

This sounds good but is still different. This sound harder than the original which I think could be changed to some extent by equing it.cleverr1 wrote:Hello,

Besides of that I subjectively think that Zebra has surpassed the Virus in sound quality with some of the shown attempts here. Zebra can nail the desired characteristics and do it even better. Yeah!

Great. Would you mind posting the patch?cleverr1 wrote:Hello,
