can i safely move (merge) /Library/Application Support/u-he to (with) ~/Library/Application Support/u-he ? and if so, will stuff keep getting written to the root Lib anyway (such as saving patching in the default location)? could i lock this folder to prevent that?
i ask, because my nightly backups deal with ~/, and the weekly with / . i much prefer personal stuff to say in my home dir.

I do a similar thing with my backups and I've removed everything for Zebra from /Library. All I have there are the directories that are empty. I haven't locked the folder though, I rely on discipline to not save to /Library. This applies to /Library/Audio/Presets and /Library/Application Support/u-he.

cool, thanks. i wish more plugins gave you the option. i move all /Lib stuff to home whenever i can, but i wasn't sure if zebra needed Tunefiles, MSEG etc to stay at root. thanks again!

Zebra will always make sure that the folders exist, but having stuff in user space is just fine.
