In the Random preset section you can choose "Use keys (1234)", what does that mean (it´s not well explained in the documentation)? I´ve chosen it and then I press keys 1-4, but nothing happens. Please, how does it work?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Well, it is just like you are doing, that's why there is no documentation on it. BUT, I will include this info: "Some hosts doesn't track key-hits from your pc-keyboard, for those this feature won't work."
So, wich host you got? I know that on OrionPRO you must set the VST to be Midi-CC instead of VST-Parameters. Otherwise it won't work. CubaseSX works by default, just click on the "Use Keys" to have a CHECK on it, so you can start using the keys 1 2 3 4 to create the random presets. We did this way to prevent people pressing those keys by accident and trashing the presets.
Is that clear?

Thank you William. I only tried it in Chainer so far where it doesn´t work. I´ll test it in Logic 5, Massiva and EnergyXT as well.
Cheers,

Speaking of Chainer, I've always been confused by what those Automation options do. WilliamK, would selecting or deselecting any of those options make the 1-2-3-4 thing work?

Well, if it's any help, here are the Chainer options that you can check on or off:
VST automation
MIDI automation
Screen to VST
Screen to MIDI
MIDI to VST
I haven't a clue....

I enabled and disabled all automation options in Chainer - (1234) doesn´t work. It doesn´t work in Logic 5, Massiva and EnergyXT as well (but without having looked deeply into all possible options of these programs).

Only a few hosts supports KEY strokes. So far I only managed to make it work on Cubase and Orion. On other hosts you will just have to use the menu instead...

Chainer, Logic, Massiva, EXT, they all support KEY strokes for their own purposes, i.e. you can control these hosts by keys, but it seems that they don´t transfer them to the plugins.WilliamK wrote:Only a few hosts supports KEY strokes. So far I only managed to make it work on Cubase and Orion.
