We're thinking about making a version of POWERkits (see www.larryseyerdigital.com) to work on the Muse Receptor.
It would be great to know just how many people would be interested in something like this.
Since there are tons of drumkits for the POWERkits series (over 150 drumkits in 15 Volumes) and since the the latency is extremely low on the Receptor we're thinking that this might be a good path to head down for drummers who are looking for top quality drum sounds in a portable live and easy to use setup.
In the past, I understand that there were problems with using the Synchrosoft dongle on the Receptor, but since we do not use a dongle on our POWERkits line, we're thinking that the transition to make this happen might be reasonable.
Please post your comments and opinions here.
We're very interested in what you think about this.
Best to all!

PS
We're posting MP3 demos here on the VI forum daily of the sounds for those who want to hear what is coming out of the VI. You can also download the demos from our website if you want.

Very nice sounding kits. If this were available on the Receptor, there is a good chance that I would purchase it. I will have to explore it a bit more.
When will you have an AU version? If I could use it on the Receptor and my Mac, then I would consider it even more.

AJ,
Thanks for the positive comments on POWERkits.
As far as the AU version, there is a FAQ page that answers that and other common questions on our website so I won't repeat that here.
Updates to answers to those questions are made almost daily so it is best to check there for the latest news.
Best to you!
Larry

I see that your "VSTi" is based on Tascam's GVI? Would it be possible to have these kits in Battery2/3 or Kontakt2 format? Reason I asked it that I think no one has really tested GVI on Receptor (perhaps because most of the libs DO require synchosoft dongle, which or course doesn't work at all on Receptor).

Yes, the Virtual Instrument is based on TASCAM's GVI, but the POWERkits series does not use a Synchrosoft Dongle so this should not be an issue.I see that your "VSTi" is based on Tascam's GVI? No, the samples are not available separately or for any other format. There are some features we are using inside of the GVI playback engine that POWERkits relies on.
POWERkits are available as a VST, RTAS, (and soon AU) Virtual Instrument that also works in stand alone mode (i.e. it does not require a DAW to work but it WILL work inside of a DAW).
These and other questions are on the FAQ page at www.larryseyerdigital.com if you are interested.
Enjoy!
