I'm using the Berhinger BCF-2000 and it works great. It's a bit tricky to program (they have a java-based program that works quite well once you get it working....requires JRE 1.4.2 to run, which is still available on the Sun site).
Basically, I use the faders to control 8 slots on the receptor, and one channel button for each to "bypass" the plugin (NOT mute...bypass saves CPU). Then all the other buttons I have dedicated to either program changes or toggling on/off an effect VST.
It also has two foot pedal inputs, one for continuous which I route to volume on B4II, and the other for momentary/switch which I assigned to the B4II as well to do leslie fast/slow.
Lastly, you MUST use it's MIDI out, not USB to control the Receptor (though you must use USB to the PC to program it). So you'll need some kind of MIDI Merger. I have an 8-input one so I just merge the BCF in with my other four keyboards and route it all to the Receptors MIDI in.

Hi Schubert,
Strangely-enough, I have the same controller as Hyber (BCF2000), and can confirm it's usability with Receptor. I have used it on a couple of gigs to control volume for different plugs on different channels (faders mapped to Receptor channel Volume, that is). Since I already have my Midi keyboard controllers with a Data Slider already mapped to Volume, and I was trying to simplify my rig during gigs, I stopped using the BCF. In any case, it was a quite capable controller, and well suited for use with Receptor.
One other thing in addition to what Hyber said - there is a MIDI input on the BCF, and a mode by which you can configure the output to be a merger of the MIDI input and BCF controller output. So in a pinch - if you had one BCF and one Midi keyboard controller - you could make-due without another MIDI merger device.
Regards,
Kevin L
