why so much buzz over zebra but not filterscape?

I've been trying the demo of zebra and it's a great synth, but not really what I'm looking for at the moment... But filterscape seems perfect and I'll probably buy it soon.
Why does this amazing set of plugs not get more buzz on these forums? Maybe I'm just the only one addicted to filter FM?

maybe because filterscape has not been updated in a while and Zebra went to version 2, then 2.1 not that long ago. Plus Zebra2 is like the best all around softsynth you can buy today, so it has attracted much notice since it was released.
Filterscape is indeed worthy of notice

well in a small place on earth it is quite the other way round - simply because I own Filterscape (and it is very versatile!), but couldn't sell a synth I had wanted to (share-it did it's best to do nothing, and the developer had said I had to ask share-it
and he wouldn't do anything at that time) to get the money missing to buy Zebra2. So here it's all hype about Filterscape
. And it is great. I constantly get the feeling (and I think I am dead right too) that all of Urs' synths are something you can say "well I master it" after, say, 29 years of constant use"...

Heh, what do I know?
User bases are pretty much on par. There may be 25% more Zebra users, but then Filterscape is also 2 years younger...
I think it's the Virus that creates so much buzz for Zebras...

That's really good to know. From the buzz on this forum (or lack thereof), I was worried that there wasn't much interest in filterscape, and that I may be buying into a "dead end" product with no future upgrades... I shudder to think what filterscape 2 would haveUrs wrote:Heh, what do I know?

Recently I've been asking around forums, looking for two good softsynths to get me started (right now I've been running freeware and demos), and I think filterscape will definitely be one of them.

Thumbs UP!
FilterScape VA is under known and under appreciated!
The other two plugs are GREAT too!
I love the FSVA! It creates sounds that no other synth in my arsenal can...
Thanks URS

I think my immediate funds are going into graduating from live lite and garageband into a host I actually pay for (either the full version of live, logic, or digital performer), and then once I get paid from the new job/sell my drumkit (whichever happens first) I'll be buying some awesome synths... And I bet filterscape will be one of them.

I first bought a Zebra 2 licence, then a Filterscape licence and then a MFM2 licence. It's not Z vs FS...it's simply: everything from Urs is just great...and at least: with the latest beta i got Zebra to work in Ableton Live too....happiness happiness schubidu!

Filterscape is great and would be even greater with added XMF
