I'm wondering if it is possible to control the Receptor wirelessly via MIDAir. How could one install drivers?

Hi TSH,
I've only read about the MIDAir. It looks like the receiver has a (Class-Compliant) USB output. That said, it may or may not work (just as class-compliant USB keyboards may or may not work with Receptor). I think someone would have to try this out to see how compliant it is.
There is no way to install (windows) drivers on your receptor, so if MIDAir requires this, you are in trouble.
Regards,
Kevin L

MIDAir and the MIDAir keyboards also have MIDI out on the receiver, so you don't have to use the USB port or worry about drivers for Receptor.
However, I sell a wireless MIDI solution with longer range (up to 500 feet), called MIDIJet Pro, which might suit your needs.

I think that the higher price is worth it on stage, where the 30ft range of the consumer-level units is used up pretty quickly (and structural interference reduces that range further). As always, it depends on what you're looking for. Interestingly, a number of the "name" Receptor users use MIDIJet, and I always test the MJ kits on a Receptor before I send them out.

I have used the midAir with receptor. The wireless receiver plugs into one of the receptor's usb ports. Worked fine. I was only a few feet away from the box (maybe 8 feet) but it did fine. This was at a club with pa/lights/etc...single-coil guitar pickups were buzzing like crazy, but the wireless midi worked fine.

Try it, but according to another thread apparently it doesn't work - It made no sense to have a power cable and wireless midi, so I never tried it.c3boy wrote:Hmm, maybe I will try my new CME UF50 with wireless, maybe it will work?

There's a wireless Midi kit from CME consisting of two battery powered boxes. I've tried it briefly, and it worked fine. I didn't really stretch it, though. AFAIK, both the Midi Jet Pro and the Kenton kits have recieved thumbs up, but like Greg states it's all about what You need.
