Komplete 5 Released

Your take is my mine. I'll be happy with 4 and look forward to user installing 5.

Mine should arrive a couple days before 5 is released.

Yeah it would be good if NI gave a definitive answer on the 'discontinued' products but it appears at worse they are user installable after the upgrade.

I don't see why Spectral Delay and Vokator wouldn't work after installing K5. I own both K3 and the K4 upgrade from last year, and when I installed K4 "over" K3, it didn't remove Intakt and Kompakt, two instruments that were not in the K4 anymore. I think it would be same now with K4 - K5.

Thanks for the info - I'm aware that I tend to whine a bit when it comes to stuff like this. I realise you guys are working hard to make this happen...

On a Windows PC, each of the NI programs is installed into a different directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Reaktor 5), so installing the Komplete 5 applications over an existing Komplete 4 install will not erase Spektral Delay or Vokator. Bottom line, as long as you keep your Kompete 4 disks around, you can install any of the Komplete 4 applications.

I would assume the same would be true for the Receptor, since the .dll VST files are different for each of the different applications.

Don't know about Receptor, but I can confirm that the installs for each of the components in the 'Komplete' packages are separate issues. You can choose to install all or just one or two different programs, as you wish.

I'm currently at Komplete 4, but my VST folder still has the full Intakt, Kompakt, Battery 1&2, Abby 2&3, and Reaktor 3, in addition to all the most current versions of the programs.

In addition, the libraries for Intakt, Kompakt and Battery 1&2 have all been forward compatible with the latest version of Kontakt2.
