As registered user of DX10, yesterday I downloaded the latest v1.1.3 of DX10 VSTi from MyFLStudio user area.
Following problem:
Installation goes to C:\Programme\Image-Line\DX10\....it's OK.
When I opened the VSTi in CubaseSX3 there comes an error,
that the VSTi request Background.bmp in Location C:\Program Files\Image-Line\DX10\....
I had to copy the artworks-directory to the requested path, then it worked.
It seems it's a bug in the installer for german OS.
You know what I mean:
German: C:\Programme\...
English: C:\Program Files\...

Could you create a report with our Diagnostic application (here) and upload it to this thread?

I've uploaded a new installer, which may or may not fix this (it uses a new version of the NSIS installer system).

No difference.reflex wrote:I've uploaded a new installer, which may or may not fix this (it uses a new version of the NSIS installer system).
Strange that DX10 is the only Image-Line plugin with this behaviour.
No problems with Wasp, SimSynthLive.

I'll check it out further. I may need you to test this, as I haven't found anyone at IL who has "Program Files" in a different version.

Yesterday I made a few more tests:
Previous versions v1.1.1 and v1.1.2 are OK after installation.
This bug has nothing to do with german WinXP as I thought first.
DX10 VSTi expects all graphics for the user interface from a fixed path called C:\Program Files\Image-Line\DX10\Artworks.
I think you can reproduce it easily:
Just install DX10 to another location than the default location (f.i. to C:\test instead of C:\Program Files\Image-Line\DX10). Be sure that the directory C:\Program Files\Image-Line\DX10\Artworks doesn't exist (or at least is empty).
Try to load DX10 VSTi in the desired host and you will get an error that DX10 can't load ****.bmp-File from location C:\Program Files\Image-Line\DX10\Artworks.
