Receptor and Logic Pro 8

Perhaps someone can help me here. I am fairly new to Logic, playing around with it as an addition to a DP set up.

When running a mono AUDIO track in DP, I can instantite a Uniwire FX instance. I cant do that in a mono track in Logic. I have o make it a stereo track first. Is there any way around this? The DP effect is a mono to stereo effect, but in Logic, there is nothing available. There are other mono to stero effect available on a mono audio track in Logic, but not a Uniwire FX effect.

Any hints?
