Panic button

I am triggering a lot of LONG samples with my Receptor through Kontakt. Basically once the samples start, they play all the way through. I am trying to figure out a way, in the event of a disaster how I can kill all the sound. My Kurzweil PC2X has a big red panic button, but it doesn't seem to affect the Receptor.
Any ideas?
PS--Please don't respond with "turn the volume off" or "load a blank patch". There has got to be a quick and easy way to make a one-shot sample get cut off. Thanks!!

There is a panic mode on Receptor... you press the setup button and then the Edit button at the same time, and it sends note off commands to every channel in Receptor. Now whether or not Kontakt will respond to that, I can't really say... hopefully it will.

I was doing something similar with my Remote SL. But using the pads which send note on and note off after you set the duration. But a panic button would be ideas for the Receptor. Maybe we'll see it in version 2.0? lol

Did you try hitting SETUP and EDIT while the samples are playing? Did it stop them? If so, then I'd have to say you've got the feature you want already!

The only problem is that my Receptor is in a rack that is out of reach from my keyboard. I need a "remote" panic button.

Is there a sysex command for "setup" and "edit"? I can send ANY midi data from my station on stage. I keep the receptor and my other rack synths off stage.

I don't think so, but this is a good ideal. I'll check into the feasibility.

..and again, I can just smile about that issue.
I use MIDITEMP-products and manage all midi-related stuff with it - incl. PANIC-function
oh, btw: I have a handy remote-controller for it

Can you run that Miditemp into a Midi moniter and tell me the commands that it is sending to kill your stuck notes in Kontakt?

I'l do that asap. meanwhile you can check the info in the owner manual (Iprinted that page here)

however, I'm not sure if it really works for your problem...if kontakt really recognizes/shows any reaction- I'm not using kontakt at all...
