Yeah, but this is a Receptor Forum, and we are trying to make existing plugs work here ......

Hybernation -- would really like some hints to questions above:

Hybernation - I think you mentioned that you got CS80v to the point where it was asking for a CD to authorize?

A couple of questions:
1.) did you only enter registry keys specified in the 'install log' (file called 'uninstall' on a PC installation)
2.) which registry keys did you enter (eg. only the ones in Local _Machine, Current_User, Classes_Root, ...)?
3.) Did you need to install any windows dlls (from system or system32 folders on your PC) in order to get to where you are?

$2999 and you can run ARTURIA plugins only... but the modular concept isn't bad at all

Can we get a staus on Arturia? Any talks going on? Will there be an installer for 2.0 or support for Synchrosoft? Analog Factory 2.0?

Post

Hi Rich,

You may have seen this, but just in case you haven't, look here to see a method to install (non-syncrosoft) Arturia plugs on receptor. This is a non-user-supported install method, but it is not too difficult to do.

It will be great to have syncrosoft support on Receptor (hopefully someday soon) to make ProphetV/JupiterV/AnalogFactory available.

Actually, Analog Factory 2.0 beta still seems pretty buggy to me (on my PC) - I hope it stays in Beta a bit longer until it is better baked.

Does anyone know whether the procedures described for installing Arturia plugins will work with the new Receptor models that just came out?

Post

No - Not as such.

It looks like Muse has shut down ssh access - some kind of process that looks for ssh' processes and kills them. This is new in OS 1.8.

Nice. I hear Dell is considering welding their cases shut and you can no longer hit a key to get into that pesky BIOS. It is for our own good.

Maybe Muse is positioning itself to release a Receptor developer program that 'reinstates' previously available access to tools like ssh for an annual fee.

Whatever. Looks like my Rev C is as good as it's gonna get. 2+ years old and it's 'vintage' already. meh.

I think it would be great if somehow Arturia can bring back their support of the Receptor someday. I bet it would increase use of their softsynths by the many professionals who have Receptors in their live rigs.

So I'm disappointed, yet hopeful, that Arturia will come back again. But in the meantime, I'm very impressed to see the clever solutions for installing some of their products as unsupported plugins.

haven't you guys heard of ARTURIA's hardware synth ORIGIN ??
anyways... I'm sure MUSE will find a solution sooner or later
How are you Robert?

Very hard to run Ivory on Origin, me thinks ;-)

Here is the latest on Syncrosoft: We have indeed built Syncrosoft into 1.8, but it is not yet "turned on". We are working on 1.8 update first, and then we will be moving on to Syncrosoft and a number of other features...

We recently heard that Steinberg has purchased Syncrosoft, and we have had some discussion with Steinberg about Receptor support, so we are now hoping to work with them to get Syncrosoft happening sooner rather than later.

As for Arturia. I love their stuff, but they are indeed Syncrosoft protected. We originally offered CS-80V on Receptor in iLok protected form, but they pulled the plugin off the box. Since then, we've had several discussions with them, and they are, I think, willing to work with us again to get their stuff running on Receptor.

Understandably, I think they were concerned that Receptor is competition for Origin... but I've checked out Origin, and it does a ton of things that Receptor simply cannot do, and vice versa, so i don't think anyone would ever think "Should I get an Origin or a Receptor?". More likely, they'll come to the conclusion that I did: I'm gonna have to sell some old gear so I can buy both!

Re your post above regarding Arturia combatibility - will the same also apply to Korg Legacy Digital Edition ? I'm sure a lot of Receptor owners would like to be able to use the M1 and Wavestation with the device.

Sorry to ask again but what is happening about Omnisphere compatibility ? Will this be sorted out in v 1.8 ?

Hope to hear from you.

Yeah, but I already HAVE a "hardware" synth. It's called the Receptor... How many boxes do I carry around to get the plugs I need?

A minor scale is a major scale starting 3 half steps down from the major and visa versa. Any Chord has as many versions as it has notes.
