No, I don't think so...

The global pitch is not a classical paramater that is evaluated per each sample. It's one of those parameters that are evaluated only once in the lifetime of a note, at its very beginning. Which saves a lot of cpu...

The same i.e. happens with envelope rates (A - D - R/F - R). These are evaluated whenever a new envelope phase is due. Which in the case of Attack is before any modulators are calculated, so that the ModMatrix on Attack times has no effect. Which I hope to fix soon, at the expense of maybe 0.002% cpu power.

Some new fixes coming shortly:

- gui tabs, preset file and preset folder now also remebered in VST. Really.

- texts that are too long to be displayed with their dedicated area will now be shortened with ... somewhere in the middle

- a quickie for Mr. Scarr: 0 for pitch bend up/down possible

- yet more speed improvements (gui, preset loading)

- VST Mac reaches current beta state, will be released simultaneously

be able to solo out 1 module with 1 or 2 clicks !!! would work great for osc.

Urs,
when saving a sound I type the name and hit enter - only to find that enter does not save the sound and close the save dialogue - so I have to reach over and grab the mouse to click <ok>

This has been driving me nuts. Any chance of a fix? (Win XP btw)

I'm glad to hear that the new beta remembers the preset folder, though I'm not using the beta at present, I will be. Thanks for that :)

Again I'll request the simple shortcut that clicking on any module should jump to the synthesis mode from patch browse mode.

Perhaps with <Cntl> click to jump back? Go on, you know it makes sense :D

And a little reminder about those new modes in the excellent XMF filter module...

Have fun in London.

Cheers,

Zoom function (BTW "Seconds" mode would benefit from more zoom).
Multiple selection could be via right-click and zoom left-click?

Damn I want so badly more MSEGs. And LFOs to be switchable from bipolar to unipolar mode. Is it possible to make pitchshift effect or will it be quite cpu hungry? Urs you need to recruit more people to your team :)

I havn't bothered with pitch shift yet. A frequency shifter (as in MFM2) would be easy though.

Unipolar LFOS are pretty high on the list 8)

More MSEGs? I'll happily compile a version with 20 MSEGs for you. But one would to really have to convince me that more MSEGs (8?) musically make a significantly meaningful difference if I was to officially put in more. I always suspect that too many too complex elements rather hinder creativity than let it prosper... dunno... convince me!

Urs,
another request for drag n drop inside the Zebra2 patch browser folders...

Recordable MSEGs could be fun....

On the list!

I've actually even started on this, but can't promise for Z2.2. It might happen in the next batch of improvements tho. While technically moving a patch/folder from one place to the other is easily done, support for drag'n'drop has to be carefully thought out in the gui engine, to preserve flexibility with other possible uses (think samples and stuff)...

Touch one...

+1 for the drag and drop.

And I like your way of thinking about complexity: if you put in too many elements, you just don't get any work done. Most of the u-he plugs already push my limits to what I can easily work with (I'm more of a specific plug for specific purpose guy).
I think in that way, having different views for zebra would be really handy!

Ooohh along with recording automation, a vector mixer like Quadmix that can mix four signals with an XY interface (like Kaoss Pad, etc..)

Actually, I REALLY wish there was an AU like this on Mac, it's lots of fun for crossfading 4 of anything...
