Hi!

Does anybody know where it's possible to download/obtain accapella samples? I'm not thinking of making a whole rap song with accapella samples, but just to give instrumentals a bit more personality here and there. (Like the well known "Put your hands up for Detroit" - "I love this city" - small phrases.

I have tried using my own voice, using lots of delay, EQ etc. etc. to disguise the fact I have a boring voice, but it just didn't work. (Either you've got it, or not!).

So I'm after short phrases.

Any ideas anyone?

Have a great day!

Philip

Maybe a friend of yours has a better voice?
Maybe http://freesound.iua.upf.edu contains what you're looking for.
You could also resort to Text2Speech programs.
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. :borg:

That was an awesome site - not that much "vocal" but a whole load of interesting sh*t. Thanks for the link!

Philip.

Lotsa help here! The Shouts on e-bay were nearest what I had in mind - I downloaded the samples and they were good. I killed my pen-pal acoount a while back - I'll see about getting a new one and download all the goodies. Have a great weekend everyone!

http://ccmixter.org/ is pretty cool. It's creative commons based though, no commercial use.
