Quick & dirty hack for firefox/mozilla users:
make a file userContent.css containing
and put it in the chrome subdirectory of your profile (or add the code if you already have an existing userContent.css)
Doesn't look pretty but makes better use of your screen.
make a file userContent.css containing
Code: Select all
div#kvrblock, div#kvrblock div#column1{width:1202px !important}
div#kvrblock div#column1 div#main{width:867px !important}Doesn't look pretty but makes better use of your screen.

I like the larger quick reply , but I don't like the smaller articles on the front page. The ads have started to take up more room no?

I wrote a small script for greasemonkey (a plugin for firefox) that resizes the kvr forum layout to 100%.
I've send a PM to Ben and I'll put it here if it's ok with him.

A greasemonkey script would be cool, my Stylish script doesn't work at all now...

Was just saying that very thing to Big Karma, as it happens.
Seems a logical solution to me (if the posting area was centralised as well).
The rounded "Latest Posts", "Latest Reviews", "Music Tracker" and "Latest Additions" look really good(much better with the dark background, BTW), but the "Music Tracker" and "Latest Additions" seem a bit too large to me. The red dropdown is nice, but the PM's really shouldn't be hidden under there. The new-ish KvR logo is nice, but it would be even nicer without that silly reflection at the bottom. Bigger quick reply is good, hidden quick reply is bad.
Dunno about the second color blue, I kinda liked the old warm grey, but this is OK.

when you get pms it shows on the red bar.
its not like you have to keep checking the drop down.
