1280 * 800 and it looks like it's using 1000 pixels width instead.

Awesome! :tu:

Another whiny complaint: The "Quick Forum Jump" is super awkward way down at the bottom. Also, it isn't even accessible when composing a message. :?

yea...the quick reply and quick links aren't so quick now... :hihi:

The smilies at the bottom of the reply box is fantastic though :tu:

why dont they just implement a theme or style switcher for this to all go away? you can have your cake and eat it too then. i'd personally stick with the new design but i'm fond of the constrained centered layout. shouldn't be hard to apply a theme?

Agreed, it looks much tidier that way.

btw ben, i think you are doing a fine job. jquery owns. the newschool $(site).code_the_entire_thing_in_1_line.paradigm({ owns: true });

:D

Really and truly horrible new layout. Too much unused space on either side of the screen, cluttered in the middle. Appears to be dominated by ads, not useful content. Now have to use two clicks to get to the Quicklinks section (the most commonly used part of the site).

The previous site appearance was a little bland, colour-wise, but it was functional. Why mess with it other than to give it a bit more colour?
Time is an illusion - lunchtime doubly so.

When I click on View Quick Reply, it shoots me to the top of the page, and DOESN'T open the Quick Reply box :x

Why do we need to hide it anyway??!! It's probably the most used feature of this site :nutter:

Another possible bug - a thread in the Music Cafe (I'm citing it specifically because that's where I noticed it) had a new post, but the icon stayed the "no new posts" colour, which never usually happens around here.

I preferred the old layout- but I have to say, the new colours are a bit easier on the eyes.
That and all the Whats New stuff pisses me off. I'd prefer to not know-

same here.. minus the javascript features, the design is in need of some help.. I normally wouldn't say such things about someone else's design (considering I know how hard it is to come up with a good one, and then the time it takes to implement).. but I really have to wonder what is going through the designer's mind??

Why not put it on a private/beta site and work out the bugs, instead of loading it bug-full into production and having everyone hassle through the hassles.. ??

So far, one must use the default font size, lest they be stuck with overlapping bars/panels.. THEN the viewable area has been shrunk which causes the issue to be further magnified. The design is a dark theme, but BAM in the middle of the page is an offwhite main panel.. glowing like the sun.

What did we gain out of the design changes? Did the functionality of the site increase with the changes for most people? It seems like bits and pieces of two designs, fighting for space on the screen.. why not enhance/develop what was there instead of trying to reinvent the wheel? I'm sorry, but I'm completely at a loss for the reasons behind these changes.. I'm bummed. :?

I also want the old design back.

KVR is a mainly a forum for discussion.
All discussions are text related - and there is lots of text.

The new design in worse for displaying text. The reason why it is worse is that it does not scale with the browser. And that's why it fails for me.

My finger hurts from using so much mousewheel for scrolling and my eyes bleed because i complete loose the overview.
:x

Please include browser scaling.
Sorry for beeing so rude and the critics, but:
I do not want to have my company support forum on a technically unprofessional website.
I'm sure that the other developers think similar. Otherwise we must move somwhere else.
