I am having a hard time with this. I have a MIDI controller which can send NRPN messages. you can set NRPN LSB and MSB for a controller, and thats all you can change. In receptor, a controller has a code like B1 63 00 B1 62 06 to it. I somehow can't find out which numbers i should set the LSB and MSB of my MIDI controller to.. Any help would be appreciated. Also; is the channel you send the NRPN on of importance, or is NRPN always on all channels.. ?
thanks in advance

Good questions.
The 6 digit string contains the info you are looking for. The MSB ("most significant byte") is the 3rd number, and the LSB ("least significant byte") is the 6th. So in your example:
And the channel you use is important: it should match the Receptor slot you are trying to control. So MIDI channel 2 will control Receptor slot/channel 2. And this is not affected by the "Listen To MIDI Channel" setting on the Filter dialog.
[Tech note: In your example, the "B1" means "MIDI CC on MIDI channel 2", with the usual computer-to-human differences in numbering (e.g. 0 in computer-speak means 1 to us humans). Also, "63" is the hex notation of 99 in decimal, and "62" is hex for 98 decimal, which are the MIDI CCs for the high and low controllers for NRPN ("non-registered parameter number").]

Thanks just found it out. The big SHIT part is, i just found out that my main sequencer ableton live does NOT support the recording, or throughput of NRPN messages. This sucks bigtime, because my style of music heavily depends on parameter automation. This pretty much won't work until they implement it. Hell, maybe try working with CC's then. Only makes stuff more complicated.
More stuff to figure out before making music again. Not receptors fault though..
