I tried to install Zebra V2.2 on my Receptor as an unsupported plugin, but it failed. Do you have a version that works on Receptor yet?

Oh, sorry havn't written it properly...PhilMuller wrote:I tried to install Zebra V2.2 on my Receptor as an unsupported plugin, but it failed. Do you have a version that works on Receptor yet?
Please install Zebra V2.2 on a PC first. Use the option "Everything into Vstplugins".
Copy "Zebra2.dll", "Zebralette.dll" and the whole directory of "Zebra2.data" from Vstplugins to Receptor's install folder.
-> The problem is, the installer doesn't work on Receptor. Hence you have to move everything manually... but with above way it's really just the .dlls and a folder to be moved...

Just moving the .dlls isn't enough. Receptor needs to have the .xml files to run the plugin. The Receptor creates these files while doing the install. Could you send the .xml files etc. to me via PM?

Hmmm, what I always did wasPhilMuller wrote:Just moving the .dlls isn't enough. Receptor needs to have the .xml files to run the plugin. The Receptor creates these files while doing the install. Could you send the .xml files etc. to me via PM?
- move Zebra2.dll and Zebra2.data to Receptors install directory
- Install them from the Receptor software
I'll try to figure it out later, it's already a couple of months since last time I did it... and then I'll write it into the manual... so there may be a procedure by tomorrow...

When you say "to Receptors install directory", are you talking about "Drop Installers Here" diectory? I don't think this would work because Receptor would be looking for a ".mrpk" file type to install, not a ".dll". I will put this on the Receptor Forum and see if anybody has done this successfully. I must begetting old, because I have done this before!! Now, I can't remember how to do it.Urs wrote:Hmmm, what I always did wasPhilMuller wrote:Just moving the .dlls isn't enough. Hey, yes, sorry, "Drop Installers Here". I'm pretty sure that's how we got it working back in July when I worked on this. I'll boot my Receptor today and see what I find.

Without having to install bootcamp, how can I install Zebra 2.2 on the receptor?
Thanks,

Ahhh... yes...musiklov3r wrote:Without having to install bootcamp, how can I install Zebra 2.2 on the receptor?
Please download this archive:
http://www.zebrasynth.com/download/Z24MuseMac.zip
It contains Zebra2.dll, Zebralette.dll and the Zebra2.data folder.
With beta2 it worked like this - and it should still work:
Create a folder called "u-he" in which you put Zebra2.dll, Zebralette and Zebra2.data
Connect to your Receptor and and move this folder to "Drop Installer Here"
Now you should be able to install everything as "unsupported"
If the Zebra2.data directory can't be moved into Receptor's Vstplugins folder, maybe you can manually move it there. It just has to sit next to the .dll files before you can properly run it.
Let me know if this works,
P.S.: My Receptor which worked fine 3 months ago has decided not to boot anymore

It's a big relief to hear that. I jumped through hoops to make it happen, but I couldn't verify it...
I'll publish the procedure in the manual!
Thanks,
