Z2 problem with custom oscillators?

I've been toying around with Waves of Plenty and Classic Wavetables downloaded sometime ago from this forum. I notice that there are some clearly audible harmonics noises even with simple sine-like waveforms. From the waveform view, they look normal, and most start and end with the zero crossing so I don't know what the problem is.

In Waves of Plenty set, all the waveforms sound the same at the start position (wave 1.00). The sound changes abruptly when I increase the wave number, say, from 1.00 to 1.10, then go smoothly from there. I wonder whether there is any initialization error here.

I hope this doesn't sound confusing. I don't know the Zebra terminology well enough to explain it more accurately.
Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. ;)

It's a known problem, but it's a good thing to BUMP this issue - thanks!

I think the waveforms are made so that the last sample is the same as the first sample. By this, one sample is repeated. Which is similar to Hard Sync with the slave tuned slightly up vs. the master. Thus the extra harmonic content...

OK, now we're getting to the root of the problem. Any chance of a "fix" by whoever gave us that tool (was it Jupiter4?)...

So I guess that would solve the first problem. The second problem still remains however (although I'm not sure I made it clear enough). :)

EDIT: I mean, this problem still remains:

Yes, a known initialization error. Switch the mode over to e.g. GeoMorph then back to SpectroBlend... usually works.

Hehe, thanks. Looking forward to the fix then. :D

Sheesh... I thought it *was* fixed...

So it's basically so that the scripts don't make the Osc update automatically. That's because they only send the waveforms as pure data. If the script also did a simple switch of the oscillator mode, the update would be instant.

Should this be fixed in the scripts or in Zebra?

It should be fixed in Zebra, which unfortunately won't happen any time soon, as we just had a release...

But it can be worked around in the scripts.

You could also just check them out on a patch that has an envelope on the Waveform. This will also update the waveforms instantly. I hope.

OK, thanks. That will do in the mean time, I guess. ;)
