Delay time modulation bug in MFM2

I'm using Live 6.0.10 on a MacBook Pro (2.33Ghz 2GB ram) with OSX 10.4.9. I find that if I modulate the delay time in Millisecond (fine or coarse) mode I get a high pitched ringing noise when the LFO gets into the negative pole. I don't have the problem in Sync or Note mode and It's always the negative pole (even if I set the depth to a negative value. I've tested this issue at different buffer sizes and sample rates without noticing any changes in the symptom.

While I'm at it I'd like to request (if it's not to much trouble):

A) an AR envelop for ducking

B) an implementation of the arpeggiator from Zebra that could be set to run without a note input from the host (this would hopefully allow the MSEGs to run without external midi input as well).

C) a pitch knob per delay that would change the speed of the audio in the delay buffer (for granular delay effects)

B and C are kinda' "Pie in the Sky" requests and by no means necessary.

MFM2 and Zebra are in my opinion the definition of forward thinking in regard to computer music production. Thanks for these excellent tools.

Thanks!

Can you mail me a preset that exhibits the weird behaviour?

As for the ducking... have you checked the Leopard fix? It comes with 2 compressors that allow for side chaining... (it's basically the final version that only lacks some minor fine tuning in the layout)

About B & C - Ooooph... that sounds like V3 already... However, you never know... my new employee (a dsp guru) is into granular stuff, he might like to work on this next year...

Cheers,

;) Urs

Thanks for the quick reply, I didn't know that there was a newer version than what I have.

I honestly have no expectation for any implementation of the other feature requests. Honestly MFM is already my dream delay, and the features that I tend to request serve few but myself.

I'm glad to hear that you have more help now, it has always seemed to me that you must be the hardest working man in VST land. I should know I'm testing products that are four weeks from FCS and they should be much further along than they are. :)

Nah - I'm also ranking on place #2 of the longest period of vapourwareism - MFM2 was pretty close to be final a year ago and it's still not finally released... Zebra for Windows took 2 1/2 years to deliver...

We'll see if and how my new genius math dude will change that :)

Now that sounds primising :)

Indeed! It's all very fresh and he's not yet integrated into the actual development process that much but I have a good feeling. He's into distortion and phat filters. And he knows those geek applications that I never got into...

Hi Urs-

Will the leopard version work on 10.4? If not, is there a later version than MFM2.2B3?

Thanks - I know that the release is probably coming soon, But I've never been very patient.

Leo version runs on Tiger, of course. Even on Panther 10.3.9 8)

It's the latest version...

I have now... A+

Now if only those envelopes could be assigned to.... :hihi:

Thanks a million!
