Cannot repeat that here, recording a vst parameter works just fine here.D-Fusion wrote:Thank you Jo
I have done as promised and tested Firebird+ V1.9 many ours yesterday and today and it works fine now
1 bug found while testing.
If you record the filter cutoff from Vst's from the gui it shows up as a "?" in the auutomation lane.
With beta A and B it was named Cutoff and not "?" (I have tried this with 2 different vsts).
Same with doing vst automation with the mouse in the pianoroll, it only show standard midi controller options and not vst's parameters like cutoff etc...
Good point, thanks.pljones wrote:If I select a note in the sequence editor (where two notes start at the same time), its velocity bar isn't brought "to the front" in the lower pane. Which is a pain.
The pencil time point is snapped to the grid, and that position defines which bar is edited.Another point. The pencil tool is somewhat inaccurate about selecting the velocity bar - I'll frequently have the tip well inside one bar and dragging adjusts an adjacent bar.
Strange, cannot repeat that here...pljones wrote:If I add or delete a connector in the MPA, it doesn't always update the display until I click something.
File, New, F3, Delete the racks, New plug, MuSynth, connect to Audio out. Connector line not drawn. Click MuSynth. Connector appears.
Related? -> Deleting a "Plugin" plug doesn't fully update the MPA, either. The box is left behind.
True. Will be fixed. Thanks!pljones wrote:Even though a VSTi in highlighted in the MPA, playing my keyboard wasn't triggering sounds. I had to right-click-focus the plugin.
strange, can't remember to have changed anything related to this...Bonteburg wrote:Some observations:
Good stuff:
-You can now load an empty preset into Crossfady Loopsynth again! I still get a dialogue but no crash.Good!
Not sure what you mean...Real bugs:
-The old 'no midi keyboard on first run' seems to be back? Interesting though, what constitutes a first run? First run after quitting it?
Can't repeat that here...-deleting an ADSR envelope in the plug area whilst it was 'targeted' resulted in a neverending beachball ie hangup. Obviously it's not something you should do I guess..but still..
So i assume you have enabled the Record Audio selector (near the Record button).Quirks and strangeness:
- I get an unnecessary 'recording too silent' dialogue after recording with my MIDI keyboard.
You're right. Will be tuned. Thanks!-When you mix a sequence down to audio and add the audiofile it doesn't seem to get assigned to any one rack. Maybe you should change this, the way it is it's a little opaque I think, especially when you want to apply effects etc.
Mmm, but "Dummy" is so ... dummyunimportant stuff:
-I spent little while trying to find a device to chain two synths and I have to say I much prefer 'Dummy' to the rather technical sounding 'Patchpoint'. It's more likeable I think nd in keeping with MU.LAB's image.
Hi Bonte, I thought I'd try to replicate your problem. Your intel Mini would be newer (faster, better etc) than my machine.Bonteburg wrote:semi ... as you're using a Mac- what type of controller do you use with Mu:Lab and can you play fast, chordy stuff without getting hanging notes? Is that on 10.3 or 4 ?
Hi i did some more testing now and if i record automation from the gui and select merge after stopping the recording all automations shows up with a ? instead of parameter names.muzycian wrote:Cannot repeat that here, recording a vst parameter works just fine here.D-Fusion wrote:Thank you Jo

I assume you're merging the recorded parameters into a part that uses another target i.e. another vsti.D-Fusion wrote:Hi i did some more testing now and if i record automation from the gui and select merge after stopping the recording all automations shows up with a ? instead of parameter names.muzycian wrote:Cannot repeat that here, recording a vst parameter works just fine here.D-Fusion wrote:Thank you Jo

If i select new track after recording instead of merge it shows the parameters corectly.
Yes, got it!muzycian wrote:Strange, cannot repeat that here...pljones wrote:If I add or delete a connector in the MPA, it doesn't always update the display until I click something.

But will keep an eye on it.
Yes user error is now confirmedmuzycian wrote:I assume you're merging the recorded parameters into a part that uses another target i.e. another vsti.D-Fusion wrote:Hi i did some more testing now and if i record automation from the gui and select merge after stopping the recording all automations shows up with a ? instead of parameter names.muzycian wrote:Cannot repeat that here, recording a vst parameter works just fine here.D-Fusion wrote:Thank you Jo

If i select new track after recording instead of merge it shows the parameters corectly.
And so the recorded parameters don't match the target vsti anymore.
And that's why the "?" shows up.
Could this explain the issue?
maybe it's the buffer size then? Is there a way to access/change it in MU:LAB?muzycian wrote:There has been killed a bug that could cause hanging notes when playing very short notes on your keyboard, depending on the buffer size of the audio device.
Yep, same situation. It's puzzling in that it really looks like it's connected to chords and fast notes, so you can't possibly be all wrong.Any hanging notes when playing a keyboard on the mac mini?
Hah! Maybe the bug was a function of some other bug or something? So you never knew when you did away with it.strange, can't remember to have changed anything related to this...![]()
Wasn't there this bug in Luna and MU:LAB where you couldn't hear anything and/or wouldn't get any keyboard action? I'm confused myself now because on trying to reproduce it everthing was fine. I'll do some more testing later. Not sure what you mean...

Nah, just my playing much the same way you did - pinky and thumb of the left hand doing some bass octaves, right hand playing three note intervals, occasionally hitting a little harder or doing a clumsy staccato, that's when the notes are dropped or the note offs aren't being recorded. It always seems to affect only one note (any one note).toxicoh wrote:What are you doing to get your hanging notes? Are you using an onboard sequencer to get the rapid notes out of the keyboard?
