O I C, well I am now on my way to work, and I will leave you with some thoughts on BDM.

  :hyper: :tu:  :D

and 1 more 4 good luck

Thanks for the kits, blortblort. Groovy demo.

my pleasure, but it's way past my bedtime!... and it's a school night. I blame liqih :tu:

Will BDM save as complete kits or is there be an option to save the individual hits? If not think of this as a FR for V2 <grin>

+1 for note names...

also for the concept of the broken drum machine it might be cool if the drums had a 'mis-trigger' slider that would determine the likelihood that by 'accident' a different drum gets played instead of the one that should sound.

do you know what i mean?

i agree with the volume being too low, but liqih has already addressed that, so nothing to add in that regard.

edit: tested in xt 1.4 so far with crazy note speeds and heavy randomization - had no crashes whatsoever. :tu:

weird: you have to click twice on a button to turn it off... wait, this is probably something that has been reported before - in FL the buttons on the gui don't update even if their state has been changed during randomization...

edit: i've uploaded a short mp3 demo - get it at http://rapidshare.com/files/73153098/fa ... m_test.mp3

the pattern is simple so to hear the sound clearly
great stuff Liqih!!

thanks, liqih! I dig fabi's demo too 8)

here's another demo of sorts (cheated on this, though: added speakerphone and some eq...but ALL the sounds originate solely from BDM!
I did this using the same bank I posted earlier...used fewer presets on this, but one of the coolest things I see with BDM is that (unlike MANY other plugs...) you can use follow actions in Ableton Live to trigger preset changes from clip to clip. Makes for wonderful brokeness. ALSO... I don't know what was wrong earlier, but I'm now able to get midi info to trigger pitch changes to all "key trk" activated inst in bdm :D ... in this ditty, I sent that same midi pitch information to speakphone preset (that is what is sounding like vocoding...) this is a really fun little rascal :hihi:

cool mate!

BTW my you give more info about what the notenames display should do?

Thanks

The plug seems to generate a lot of frequency content below 20Hz. Maybe some kind of DC killer would be clever.

I always use a lot of automation on the plug some sort of performance page ( XY control, especially for Ax4 and Dx4 ) would be very wlcome and I guess make it even more fun to mess around with.
Qw, music from twelve weeks in quarantine is now streaming on spotify and bandcamp. This is a collaboration with the the smallest of worlds VR art project, that documents our living spaces in times of isolation. You can join their project here.

DC: right, that's the kind of fault we don't want! Thanks

XY: maybe later, good idea

New beta 0.4 ready.

Status:

done vertical knob behaviour

Display notenames on GUI by About Box

balanced volumes a little, to check more

parameter names fixed

PCM controls implemented

samples in menu extended to eight, so the actual samples are just doubled,
(old presets need the PCM menu to be adjusted for the new value)

Decay time PCM vs VCO depends on sample lenght

***

4 more samples to do, meanhwile you can replace the B ones in the folder with your mono wavs 16 bit 44100 Hz, but keep the names,
please le me know if you get errors

MIDI learn not ready

multiout not ready

also to fix:

The On of buttons get randomized but the display is not updated correctly.
The DC offset on output, so far please use an HP fliter set at 15 Hz to cure that
