Hello everybody:-)

I recently bought a new computer with Vista running, and not wanting to change every driver and stuff back to XP, I decided to give the Vista world a go. My other plugins seems to work fine in Cubase 4 with Vista, but Sylenth1 crashes when selected for some mysterious reason. Have tried workarounds with disableing DEP with bcdedit.exe commands. I have e-mail with Lennard today (great support!!!), and he has provided some stripped down versions for testing, and now it seems there is progress:-).

But, I was just wondering, are there anybody else hear who is running Cubase 4 with Vista and Sylenth1? Some experiences?

Best regards, Ken

I've updated the installer package with the bugfix. You can download it from the same link as usual (if you don't have it or lost it, just let me know).

If Sylenth1 doesn't crash at startup on your system there's no need to download or reinstall.

Hi evryboddy
I tried the Demo but it crashed Cubase Studio 4 under Vista.I took the dll out of the vst folder, and everything went back to normal. If u fixed it for C4 is there a difference with Studio 4?
Very nice synth btw.

Cheers Violetice.

Hi Lennard,

would you be so kind as to mail me the link too? I'm at j.org(a)planet.nl

I have a problem with Sylenth1+ProtoolsLE+FXpansion+Vista, which also crashes the system. Maybe your C4 fix works for me too. I lost the downloadlink... I can send you my license file if needed.

I would email you directly, but your spamfilter seems to bounce every message I send you...

Thanks in advance!

Yes I've noticed this too and contacted the webhost about it. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon!

Did you try this with the latest demo version? That one should not crash! Anyone else having problems with the latest Sylenth1 version in Cubase 4?

Hi Len
Actually the update of Cubase 4.1 has produced some new bugs/problems.I,m not sure at all what,s causing my crashes. In fact ,the MAIN problem is with Emu who have still not released even Beta drivers for my Sampler X2.This has caused new problems in C4 with the latest upgrade.I originally guessed it was something to do with the Synth Edit GUI which i read about on here somewhere. But,it isn,t .My guess, which, unfortunately is all it is,is that there is a problem with the C+ library driver.I,ve had my Uberschall Elastik Player suddenly lose its graphics and report an internal error. This i fixed 4 now by taking out Emulator, saving the song ,re-opening and re-inserting Emulator. That works as long as i don,t save Emulator.I get to open the Project again ok.
Sorry,i got off to a hasty conclusion.I,ll keep testing the demo.
Let u know if i DO find any real problem.
Just to repeat tho,i use Cubase Studio 4.1 not Cubase 4.1.There may be different bugs here.I already know of 2 ,so when the Hotfix is released i should be better off.

Thanx Carey.

I have upgraded to C 4.1 and Sylenth1 still works fine for me with Vista after the patch supplied by Lennard:-)
