can't turn any knob/slider control

Hi everyone,

I have a major problem. none of the plugins seem to work on my system. At first I thought that it was because I was using a VST to RTAS wrapper, so I tried to open them on PeakPro which uses VST and still nothing.

The plugin loads with it's default settings but I can't move any of the knobs.

the only things I am able to change are Indexes and bit resolution.

anyone experinced the same problems?

Can't say I've ever had that problem but I'm running Audio Units, not VST. Try something first: Can you at least open the plugs natively in Sonic Birth itself and play with things there?

yes, if I load an audio sample in sonicbirth the effect works fine. It's only when i open it in protools or peak that it doesn't.

perhaps a problem with GUI. I'm not familiar with VST at all but with Audio Units we have a non-GUI interface that we can select for any plug if we want. Everything turns to a generic slider. DO you have an option like that in Peak for VST. And can you change controls then if you do?

yes, I know what you're talking about. I used logic for a while... but protools and peak don't seem to offer that option...

I'm hoping that Makira (username of the programs creator) will come across this thread and help you here. I really don't know why this would be. Other than the obvious steps of trashing SB and reinstalling from scratch I can't think of much else you could change. Sorry that I can't be of more help with this.
