hey do you want to be mouse drummers? LOL
mouse should be for checking sounds only, no?
what I did to fix the release issue is to build a timer for each button so that is doesn't wait for note off, which was a bad method BTW,
so now the buttons have their own release time in the GUI thread and don't mess with MIDI,
the time I set is a compromise, if I make it faster you can click faster but buttons lits for few ms,
please let me know
pitch up bend for HH by Tone is menat to be like that as to me it suits better the HH sounds, maybe later I will add a switch for all VCO to have sweep up or down

funny...I just ran thru'em (...using some of my patches, btw) and I thought they DO sound perty goood
you were a little more elaborate with some of your patterns bobsled
these I'm posting are pretty basic. not ONE 1/32 note in the bunch
I just set up these as 4 bar dealies: first two bars more less the "main" and the 2nd two as the "break" section if ya wanna think of'em that way. Not all of them are like that, but it kinda shows in the audio demos:
link to 2 fxb's for BDM 0.5 with corresponding midi files
mp3 audio examples
(4bar patterns, one for each midi file-preset combination...however, midi file-preset one is repeated at the end of audio example for bank 1; I was grabbing the audio in realtime... didn't hit the stop button soon enough. too lazy to edit the audio...this IS straight from BDM. no processing for either audio demo.)
bank 1
bank 2
I'm diggin' this BDM thing, liqih
[edit- should have added- midi's are set up for 130 bpm, but do what sounds good to YOU

thanks, man! did want to mention that since you're working with some of the patches from my previous post of bank 1- you may want to use the new version as I've had to adjust them a little for the newer changes that liqih has made in later bdm versions (esp since the master chaos control came alive
)...then again- use whichever version ya like better
Jeez! ...time for bed. how'd it get this late?

Just a quick post to say I've now tested in Orion Platinum, all appears to be working fine. Haven't gone too deep in, just some basic automation

don't know exactly whether to report it as a "bug" or what... I've tended to think of it as just the nature of the beast:
say I've got a pattern in BDM.
I've used the main keys to input the BD, SN, HH and CP sounds.
now, when I go back to lay a "pitched midi phrase" on top of that pattern (ie, midi notes between b2 to the top of the range...)all my notes trigger when I play/record them *into* the pattern,
however- on playback, any "pitched" note triggered simultaneous to an instrument note: ONLY the original instrument pitch is triggered. Any "pitched" midi note data that occured during the decay of a triggered instrument note DOES trigger a pitch change, though.
I've worked around this by offsetting/delaying (by only a few ms...) the pitched midi notes and this fixes the problem (ie- the playback sounds as it did when I input it...)
I honestly don't know if this is a function of BDM's polyphony, how much polyphony each of the 4 BDM instruments has or the way that Live sees midi note data.
It just did a couple of very basic tests in eXT 1.41 and both playback and record phase sound alike (points to Live as the culprit, maybe??...)
Either way- it fits the character of the instrument, when ya think about it
like I say- not necessarily a bug- more of an operational functionality observation, I think

it's indeed a function of BDM's polyphony, the trigger note has priority on the pitch,
***
but please, everyone, don't be shy and let me know if something else in BDM is not as you would like to be, <grin>
ok?
Thanks a lot

BTW you guys are awesome, but I must confess that I'm a little sad for the indifference of KVR community to the BDM thread I started in the Instruments forum

sorry about that, luigi.
<grin> i have xt 1.4 with BDM in the background while typing this post - and i've hooked up Trollo to supply midi notes to BDM.
So while typing I get all kinds of cool noises.
I like the way you can change the pitch during a note's decay. it means you can play little melodies on a decaying drum sound and that's cool in my book.
