Can't use Mulab with new sound card

Hi,
I am trying to use Mulab on my new computer which has a SB Audigy soundcard and runs vista. I can't see how to configure it to work with Mulab. The midi inputs /outputs and audio inputs/outputs don't seem to recognise the soundcard and won't play any sound. I have tried installing Asio4all which Mulab does recognise but it only makes distorted noises when playing a vst plugin. I also cannot get CMusic or Luna to work for the same reasons. Thanks very much for any advice.

Sounds to me that the ASIO4ALL <-> Audigy interface is not yet optimal.brad ford wrote:Hi,

Aren't there any setup parameters in ASIO4ALL like BufferSize that you can increase?
And isn't there any dedicated ASIO driver for your Audigy? Try searching on creative.com

Thanks for the comments. I will try increasing buffer size with Asio4all and see if that helps.
I thought the audigy would have Asio drivers but Mulab does not seem to recognise them. The soundcard came without documentation so I am not clear how to set it up properly.

If the ASIO driver is properly installed, MU.LAB will recognize it.brad ford wrote:Thanks for the comments. I will try increasing buffer size with Asio4all and see if that helps.

Alternatively you can try to finetune the ASIO4ALL setup.

If you can nail down the exact model, you can almost certainly download a manual from Creative.Com's support pages. The Belarc Advisor can be really helpful in nailing down the details of hardware & software in a Windows computer.brad ford wrote:The soundcard came without documentation so I am not clear how to set it up properly.

Update: Mulab and CMusic have now recognised my sound card as having duplex Asio drivers and I can now play music with them normally. This has happened more by accident than design. I was installing some software synths and some of these seem to have set up the asio driver properly so that they could use it. Crisis over for the time being.
Mulab looks good and I look forward to trying it properly.
Thanks for the help.
