Hey this would be cool. So by default it starts at C1 (is that right? Does it start at C1)...anyhow...keep it as it currently is and to set a specific sample to any note simply hit CNTRL-left mouse button (perhaps on the preview 'pad') to call up the "learn" function. Now hit a note and all set.fladd wrote:I think we should be able to decide which slot is triggered by which note. Like this we can trigger more than one slot with the same note.

Yeah - and the upcoming Composer should work on the drum track as well as the midi track and audio parts.djsubject wrote:am i the only one that would like a pop up editor for the drum tracks?

Yeah, I've just noticed this one, and it's incredibly annoying if you want to write a lot of fast rolls...soma wrote: -Make drum triggers always "snap" long. Right now they are all 1/16th and cover other notes when snap is smaller. (Don't know how this should work if sending midi)
It's a rave, Lewis!

sure most of this has been covered but TBH i got fed up after reading through pages 1 and 2 - so add a +1 for any of these that have been mentioned already
per-step pitch (no fancy timestretching necessary - just old school playback speed repitching please)
per-step effects (to keep it simple just a few obviously drum relevant effects - bitcrusher / distortion / delay / etc available globally to the drum track and step slider controls 'wet' amount)
as well as sample start / end it would be cool to have per-step preset stutter effects - basically just have the moonfish / tuareg stuff copied into XT32 drum tracks - even though theyre ancient still not much beats them for quick-n-dirty beatmaking and now im linux full-time i miss them)
rename sample (without renaming original filename though) - just because so little of the filename is currently visible - makes identifying whats what a bit tough at present
for consistency - floating drum track editor window

hey !
- a little bump for pitch & decay available in the drum rack (just like volume, pan, cutoff) ;
- + also the availability to copy/paste/delete sample from one pad to another, and have ascrollbar in the pad module

i just load up several channels, but seperate outs would convince me to make up some drumkits for later use.... plus this is kinda standard nowadays.

The whole multichannel thing is just a no-brainer IMO.

[quote="soma"]-Ability to scroll through samples (during playback) in the same folder (with arrow keys or mouse) to audition a sample for any sample slot. -Midi out or use vst/synth sampler as a pad instead of a sample
-Mute/solo buttons for each sound in the drum sampler gui
-Single click to add note and set velocity (hold the mouse and move up/down)
-trigger for reverse,
-trigger for roll/flam
-paint brush
-Make drum triggers always "snap" long. Right now they are all 1/16th and cover other notes when snap is smaller. (Don't know how this should work if sending midi)
-Allow user to add audio outs to the kit and rout pads to them
-Move automated parameters to top of list for parameter lanes midi out (routable)
-step record
-qwerty keys to add a specific trigger (drum 1 is a, drum 2 is s, etc. shift A is reverse drum 1, etc)
-allow us to reorder the drums with drag and drop
-kit scroll bar (for when there are lots of drums)
-Velocity to parameter mapping
