We generally don't discuss sources, because of trademark issues, and because we aren't really in the replica or emulation business, so we don't want to attach the expectations that go with the name Moog or Hammond or whatever to what we are trying to do in emphasizing sound design at both the sample and the preset level. The story I like to tell to illustrate this point is about how I have 2 amp simulating recording devices, a Line 6 POD and a Yamaha DG Stomp. More than half the time, players would see that Line 6 used names for its models that are suggestive of the device being emulated, so they would react to the perceived inaccuracy. But the Yamaha used generic terminology for its parameters, so the guitarists only listened to what they heard and evaluated that, so they almost always chose the DG Stomp for the session.morelia wrote:That helps, but I was wondering about the actual synths, drums and instruments that were sampled. If there are any opinions from users, this would be a great place to mention them

Got the link but for some reason I can't log in. Probably because I'm on the work pc with rather tight security settings. I will try tonight when I get home. It's gonna be a long night till I complete the download and start playing.
Thanks for the quick response anyway!
You can tell I have a slow day at work today!

Last chance for this bargain. The deal will be good through tomorrow, and download links through Thursday. After that, Genesis becomes a $25 DVD. And, we start work sometime in the next months on a new EVE 2 project. Of course, Genesis users will get crossgrade discounts.
