This is the reason:
Example of PayPal currency conversion results:
500.00 USD = 333.98 EUR
My sales are 90% in USD, and I have waited for more than one year
hoping that the two currencies would balance again, but the difference keeps getting worse and now I can't afford to sell a plugin at $48.90 USD and actually get back a net income of 31.18 EUR (that's what PayPal gives me)
So in February all NUSofting prices will be raised by 15%,
except the Dash Sound Libraries.

I have always thought that your prices were on the LOW side of fair, and I don't think 15% will change that opinion. Keep up the good work.

keeping our money in euros thostanlea wrote:I suggest that we all european migrate to the US.
Liqih i can understand as its the same mechanic that lately allow us european to get from the US lots of things that only few yrs ago were definitely higher priced....
what im curious...isnt most legal burocracy stuff made for Nusofting in Italy? im asking since i dont get why you are keeping using USD instead of Euros nowadays, but i guess you have some obvious real reasons...just curious ..

The value of the USD isn't going to correct anytime soon.. definitely not this year.. maybe next year (with a new president with new policy) things could begin to correct somewhat, but that depends on who we (Americans) elect... and I wouldn't look for significant changes
not trying to make this thread political. However, at it's root it really is political to a degree.. sad to think the USD and the EURO were 1:1 only 5 or so years ago and to see how far its slid since then.

yes I agree with you, the change from 1:1 was really fast and surely too much affected by political changes, the funny not so funny thing is that at the same time prices went up in many European countries and thus giving an excuse, to traders, to do not level down the prices of commodities which we buy in dollars, like oil or computers. As result of that people like me who live from a small income are much poorer now here
