Hi all,
I was thrilled to see Zebra top the CM charts and I wanted to do a little tribute, so I added the ability to write out Zebra OSC files from a host I've been working on. The host provides a graphical environment for constructing shapes that are then used to generate data for the wave tables. I put up a tutorial here and the download is here. It can be a fun way to kill a little time.
later,
eric

Yes it was.Urs wrote:Don't worry... there'll be solutions on Mac as well! (wasn't Wav2Zebra written with JUCE?)
I have plans for a Mac version within a month or so but things have been pretty messed up lately so maybe that plan goes down the drain as well as pretty much everything else the last couple of months.
If anyone fancies a dig at it the sourcecode is availble and feel free to do whatever you want with it. Should in theory be an hour of work tops but we all know how that usually works out.

Nice one - thanks for sharing this. Am really looking forward to getting my paws on the Mac version when it's done

It's done in case you missed it.amoeba wrote:or so.jupiter8 wrote:a Mac version within a month or so

It's done in Java so it'll work on pretty much anything.

jupiter8 posts his updates and musings to the following topic: WavToZ2 topic.
It's actually pretty easy to use. Just load single cycle .wav files (mono works best) into the interface. The 16 images correspond to the 16 slots for a z2 osc. The window shows both the waveform and harmonic spectrum after loading a .wav.
jupiter8 has written an integer Fast Fourier Transform algorithm to both import the wavs as well as morph between wavs.
Play around with it and you'll quickly figure out how it works. If you have specific questions post em and I'll try to answer it.
Cheers.

Does anyone have some single cycle waveforms they'd like to share?

I got a hold of some neat ones fr4ncesco made for the z3ta+ Virus mod. You can get them at the web links for presset banks: z3ta+ Virus wavsTarekith wrote:Does anyone have some single cycle waveforms they'd like to share?
You can also find a few links to converted oscillators on page 1 of the above link.
Enjoy!
