Simple sequencer

I need to use a very simple sequence looping through parts of a song on my Receptor. I need the Start/Stop/Continue transport controls and ideally use any plugin of my choice for the sound. I've tried this using a several apps and I haven't been able to get any success.

I have NI Reaktor installed and I've been able to use the transport control on SQP but haven't figured out how to use any plugin besides the weedy built in sound generator. I've tried using energyXT 1.4 but I can't seem to get the remote transport controls working. I've tried Phrazor but the graphics aren't showing up. I tried installing Loopy Llama but it isn't showing up in the list of apps I can instantiate.

I must have screwed up somewhere... Has someone gotten a sequencer to work and can give me a pointer? I'm running OS 1.6.

Thanks!

this is probably going to be hard, since receptor doesn't really support MIDI plugins. The only thing left is vsts with built in arpeggiators, which will work. Of course you can combine a reaktor arpeggiator with a reaktor instrument within one ensemble. There's thousands of free instruments available which people have made for reaktor; just check out the reaktor user library at www.native-instruments.com , i'm sure you'll find some instruments which will suit your needs. What kinda sound are you looking for anyway?

Try sending transport control functions from your MIDI keyboard or a sequencer on your PC. Sending Start/Stop/Continue and Tempo works fine from my MIDI keyboard (Yamaha CBX-K2) and also from GarageBand on my Macintosh.

(I'm just getting starting with a brand new Receptor with Komplete inside.)

Thanks. I got Reaktor working last night with SQP (I was loading ensembles incorrectly) I'm working on a simple ostinato baseline; SQP sequencer limitations makes it tough to get a groove right but I think I can get it to work.

If anyone's interested, I verified that Phrazor doesn't display correctly and RT-stop/start/continue messages didn't work with EnergyXT 1.4.

I also looked at the SQP sequencer included with Reactor but it seemed kind of limited and, like you said, difficult to get to groove right. For my basslines and drums I prefer playing loops with NI Battery.
